1. The Single Stone
Fort: The Namakkal Durgam Fort sits atop a massive monolithic
rock (single stone) that is 65 meters high. It is a geological marvel and a
historical fortress built by the Madurai Nayaks and later used by Tipu Sultan.
2. Tallest Anjaneyar: The temple houses
an 18-foot-tall monolithic idol of Lord Hanuman. Uniquely, the idol has no roof
and stands under the open sky, eyes fixed on the Narasimha shrine carved into
the rock opposite him.
