A cozy little village of green carpets all over, in the Theni Dist. Kuchanur is also known for its Temple of Saneeshawar. A ride from Theni about 20 km north, the village lies along the route. The temple here is the primary tourist location. The deity is a (self-formed) swayambu which keeps it much more unique. The town gets its name from one of the names of Kubjan, Shani Bhagwan. Before the sanctuary is an eminent waterway, Surabi, gushing. It is provided by the Periyaaru and Suruliyaaru Rivers. Kuchanur houses various societies, and all the gatherings work in harmony with one another. Master Bhagwan, Vadaguru, has a different hallowed place which makes this spot much increasingly one of a kind. Face of the place of worship Surabhi is a seasonal river, and water is present all year round. The entire area sounds ethereal, birds chirping with the rhythm of the ever-flowing water. The wind from the mountains takes us to a holy location. Each year during the month of 'Aadi' the temple adorns a festive feel, and all saturdays of this month festivities are conducted.
