About Temple:Shivalokathyagar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Hindu Shiva located at Achalpuram in
Nagapattinam district of Tamilnadu, India. Achalpuram is historically known as Tirunallur Perumanam
Shivalokapuram, Mukthipuram, Thirumana Nallur and Thirumanavai.

History:

• Lord Shiva graces in the temple as Swayambumurthy. It is one of the shrines of the 276 Paadal Petra Sthalams - Shiva Sthalams glorified in the early medieval Tevaram poems by Tamil Saivite Nayanar Tirugnanasambandar.
• The temple stands majestically facing east with a five tier Rajagopuram. Nanda Mandapam and 100
  pillared Mandapam is next to the tower. 
• Saint Sambandar graces in the 100 pillar Mandapam with Stotra
  Poornambikai in wedding posture. 
• Next to this are the shrines of Lord Shivaloka Thyagarajar and
  Mother Tiruvennetru Umai Ammai, both are facing east. 
• Lord Vishnu, Sages Kaka, Vasishta, Parasara,
  Brugu and Jamadagni had worshipped Lord Shiva in this temple.
  

Itinerary

Day 1 - Nagapattinam Sightseeing

Proceed towards Nagapattinam. Then transfer to Hotel. Hotel Check In. Then proceed to visit Dutch Fort. Kayarohanaswamy Temple. Sikkal Singaravelar Temple. Come back to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 - Nagapattinam Sightseeing

Morning Breakfast at Hotel. Check out from Hotel. Then Proceed towards Achalpuram Shivalokathyagar Temple. Soundaryaraja Perumal Temple. Nellukadai Mariamman Temple. Finally drop at Railway Junction / Airport.
