Thekkady

Thekkady is a town near Periyar National Park, an important tourist attraction in the Kerala state of India. The name Thekkady is derived from the word "thekku" which means teak. Temperatures are lowest in the months of December–January and highest in the months of April–May.

The greatest attractions of Periyar are the herds of wild elephants, deer and bison that come down to drink in the lake. The sanctuary can be accessed by trekking, boating or jeep safari. Thekkady is considered a haven for natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, nutmace, ginger, and clove.

Cumbummettu

Cumbummettu is a small Village/hamlet in Nedumkandom Block in Idukki District of Kerala State, India. It comes under Karunapuram Panchayath. It belongs to Central Kerala Division . It is located 34 KM towards East from District head quarters Painavu. 14 KM from Nedumkandam. 165 KM from State capital Thiruvananthapuram

Thekkady Sightseeing

*Morning pickup from Dindigul. *Then proceed towards Thekkady. *To visit Veerapandi Gowmariamman Temple and River. *On the way to visit Penniquick Memorial Hall. *After fresh up and experiencing an excellent boating in Thekkady Lake. *At evening, we can see Kerala cultural art forms such as kathakali and Kalari. *Overnight stay @ Hotel – Thekkady.

Thekkady to Cumbummettu

*After Breakfast and then check out from the Hotel. *Proceed to visit Elephant Ride, Spice Garden, etc.., *Then proceed towards Cumbummettu. *Ramakkalmedu, Vandanmedu , Keezharkuthu Falls *Overnight stay @ Hotel – Cumbummettu.

Cumbummettu Sightseeing

*After Breakfast and then check out from the hotel. *Then proceed to visit Anchuruli Waterfalls, Anakkara ,Kulamavu, Nadukani and Anakarra Falls. *Then proceed towards Dindigul. *Finally drop @ Dindigul Railway Junction.
