Its famed Shwedagon Paya, a huge, shimmering pagoda complex, draws thousands of pilgrims annually. The city's other notable religious sites include the Botataung and Sule pagodas, both housing Buddhist relics.

Yangon Arrival –Half-day City Tour

Greetings from Yangon! The temple city that shimmers. The local guide from Go Myanmar will greet you at the airport today, and you will be taken straight to the city center. For your first taste of the interesting city, you will go on a half-day city tour. Once you pass by the City Hall, Post Office, and High Court, among other historical landmarks with unusual British design, you will first stop at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to see one of the nation's most revered reclining Buddha representations. After leaving the pagoda, proceed to Kandawgyi Lake, the city's most picturesque photo location. Take some time to get images of Karaweik Hall and the Shwedagon Pagoda against this striking backdrop. Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda to complete your city trip. Perched atop a hill, the pagoda commands a view from every angle in the city. Take your time as you meander about the pagoda, taking in the relaxed atmosphere and the people honoring the Buddha.

Yangon – Fly to Heho – Kalaw

Take a domestic aircraft to Heho this morning and depart from Yangon. After picking you up at the airport in Heho, our driver and guide will take you to the picturesque former British colonial town of Kalaw, which is about an hour's drive away. This location is a tranquil summer resort 1,400 meters above sea level, tucked away amid pine-covered mountains. Savor the town's crisp, clean air. You'll have some free time today to explore the town's streets and observe its tempo of life. Spend the night at Kalaw.

Kalaw – Heho – Fly to Mandalay – Amarapura – U Bein Bridge

Travel to the airport this morning in order to board a trip to Mandalay. Meet your local guide when you arrive, then get ready to see Mandalay's cultural treasures on your honeymoon. Begin the day by paying a first visit to the Mahamuni Pagoda, which is the second most revered Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar after the Shwedagon Pagoda. Every day, villagers attend and pay respect to the immensely renowned golden Buddha picture housed inside the pagoda. Visit local artisan workshops to learn about the products made in the area, such as those that make marble, wood, and gold leaf. The Golden Palace Monastery, renowned for its elaborate woodcarvings and wooden architecture, will be visited after you transfer. Proceed to the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is renowned for being the largest Buddhist book in the world because it has 729 marble slabs with Buddhist literature carved on them. Enjoy your day by seeing the most photographed sight in Myanmar, the 200-year-old teak bridge, U Bein Bridge, before the sun sets. Spend the night in Mandalay.

Mandalay – Fly to Bagan – Temples Visit

This morning, bid farewell to Mandalay and board a quick flight to Bagan. Our tour guide will meet you at the airport, take you to the Old Bagan, and begin your temple tour there. Discover more about Burmese Buddhist customs and admire the stunning Shwezigon Pagoda, which is the most visited site in Bagan. Visit Ananda Temple, one of Bagan's most enchanting and well-preserved pagodas, to view a wonderful fusion of Mon and North Indian architectural styles. This will be the highlight of your afternoon exploring. You will have the opportunity to pause along the trip in the plains of Bagan in order to take pictures of some of the intriguing nearby temples. Then, we'll go to a nearby lacquerware workshop to observe how the talented craftspeople use age-old techniques to create stunning lacquerware pieces. Drive to the jetty in the late afternoon to board a boat for an Irrawaddy River boat excursion. As you travel down the Irrawaddy River to Shwezigon Pagoda, you may enjoy the amazing sights from a seat in the shade or out on the open deck. Should the weather be sunny today, you will get the opportunity to witness Bagan's breathtaking sunset over the mythical Irrawaddy River. Unwind and take in the view. Spend the night at Bagan.

Bagan – Mt. Popa

Enjoy the high point of your journey to Burma by rising early this morning to the sound of birds chirping. To see the breathtaking splendor of Bagan at sunrise, you will fly over its plain in a hot air balloon. There is no better way to take in the splendor of this sprawling 104 square kilometer site of over 3000 temples and shrines than by riding a hot air balloon early in the morning as the sun begins to peek through the clouds. Prepare your camera to get the finest possible picture of the early-morning sight. After the balloon ride, have a little champagne celebration before making the gorgeous journey to Mount Popa, one of the most significant locations in Myanmar's history, culture, and religion. Spend some time hiking the 777 steps to the top of the pagoda, where Taung Kalat, a Buddhist monastery, is located. You can study about the 37 Nats (natural spirits) of Burma within the monastery. After that, we make our way to Popa Mountain Resort, where you will enjoy a private dinner. In Popa Mountain Resort, spend the night.

Departure

You have free time after breakfast before heading to the airport to catch your aircraft back to Yangon.
