Eravikulam National Park, Munnar 's Best Wild Life Sanctuary : If you really want to witness some of the extremely endangered and unusual animal species, then in your itinerary you have to top this spot. Inhabitants of the region seldom find endangered species of NilgiriTahr and mountain goats. The other ungulates, apart from these, are lion-tailed macaques, gaur, Indian muntjac and sambar deer.Golden jackal, jungle cat, wild dog, dhole, leopard, tiger, Nilgirilangur, stripe-necked mongoose, Indian porcupine, Nilgiri marten, tiny clawed otter, ruddy mongoose, and dusky palm squirrel are also visible. Seasonally, elephants can be seen as well. Including endangered species such as black and orange flycatcher, Nilgiri pipit, Nilgiri wood pigeon, white bellied short wing, Nilgiri flycatcher and Kerala laughing thrush, the park also includes a total of 132 bird species.
