It would be a little more expensive to travel from Bangalore than Chennai as a state permit would be necessary to enter Tamil Nadu from Karnataka. We'd have to leave Chennai in the late evening. Before travelling, we request that you have some light food. This trip is an overnight trip to Vattakanal from Kodaikanal City. Which is approximately 530 km from Chennai, where we'd have an informal introduction and have fun.
Since the journey from Chennai is 530 kms, we could arrive a little late to begin the trek, so we would do some sightseeing for the first day in Kodaikanal. We'd visit Kodaikanal Lake, Kurinji Andavar Temple, Coaker's Walk, and some of the other lovely hill station spots. We would hop into the bus after freshening up and getting breakfast and go to the starting point of the trek, i.e. Vattakanal.
The small town of Vattakanal is located south of Kodaikanal. It has a view of Kodaikanal's breathtaking valleys and mountains. The place is mostly famous for "Dolphine Nose Point" from one point of view. The Trek begins from the side of this point of view.
The descent should start from the village of Vattakanal itself. The route initially passes through massive eucalyptus trees. Only on this path can the smell of the location be encountered.Via a zig-zag path and a little climb near the town of Vellagavi, the trail descends. It is a small town located in the middle of the forest and it could serve as the guiding factor through the initial stretch, as you can see the entire village as you descend from Vattakanal.
The distance from Vattakanal to Vellagavi is around 4-5 km.Before entering the village, the trail leads you through a thick forest. You can join a path through many elaichi farms, coffee farms and lemon farms after taking a right from the temple of vellagavi. The decent one will be a bit moderate from here until we hit a small stream of water. You'd enter a Lemon farm trail after getting out of the woods, which would walk straight until we reached the water fall and our camping destination.
Kodaikanal, The Forest Gift, Tamilnadu , India. Unfortunately, due to tourism, the heavily polluted region.I have a four-day vacation, not a well-planned adventure.Thursday, the next day, on the left of Chennai by bus, I reached Kodaikanal, and spent a day reaching Kodaikanal. I prefer to fly by bus.
Kumbakarai Falls, Kodaikanal Hills foothills. I was preparing to trek from Kodaikanal. To cross two places (Vattakanal, Vellagavi) to reach Kumbakari, the trek is about 14 kilometres.I began hiking towards Vattakanal, about four kilometres from Kodaikanal. This is the tallest tower, which signals south Tamilnadu, passing the All India Radio & TV tower.I got to Vattakanal at 7 pm, and I noticed a lot of foreigners staying there. Especially from countries in Europe. He had coffee and began trekking to Vallakavi.
Vallakavi, Kodaikanal remote village, no highways, we need a trek to get there. I had a few remaining oranges with me.Hot welcome by remote individuals. I was so intrigued by their encouragement.I found Muthu, a local called Muthu. He's so kind, he helps me provide curry and rice for fish and a place to put a tent. Folks, there are always people who are very supportive and kind to the unknown.Farming, Muthu coffee bean farming, he 's got his own ground. He used to regularly bring twenty kilos of coffee beans to Kodaikanal to sell them.Muthu is camped near Vellakavi Temple and helps me find a perfect spot.
I woke up and brushed in the cold morning, washing my stomach, too. Vellagavai is a lovely village. I was intrigued. For breakfast, Muthu served me breakfast with his kin. Thanks to them, I left Muthu and his kin. Temple, the cute temple I find. Peaceful spot., Until now, while trekking, I've seen four peopleGreenish, I didn't expect such a beautiful spot, it's the forest, actually. Drop. I noticed some small falls. Guys, I'm taking a bath here.I spent half an hour, one hell of an experience, alone in this place.
The water is so pure, my bottle filled, trekking on.I 'm new to this area, finally going through the woods, and I just followed the trek trail.Unfortunately, I was caught trekking by the forest department without permission, so strict after the Kurangani, Tamilnadu, fire crash.Guys, they're shooting questions, I can't answer any of them, I was so irritated and paying so well and left them.I'm happy trekking through this area, anyway.
Kumbakkari Falls, Kumbakkari finally reached my trekking finished. So many visitors, Isee, visited the falls and bathed here. There are a number of tiny shops selling Bonda, coffee, tea.
The Falls of Kumbakkari, Theni.Folks, when you come to Kodaikanal to Kumbakkari Trekking, come as a gang, please get permission from the forest department of Kodaikanal, It was near the bus stand of Kodaikanal.
We will preserve the same, but let others enjoy the trekking. The trail is really beautiful and not used.I left Kumbakkari, took a bus to Periyakulam, Murugan Temple, Palani Temple, and went from there. Hey. Life. I've begun living my life.
