Museum of Hans Christian Andersen, Odense : Without being conscious of Hans Christian Andersen, you can't visit Denmark. His fairy tales and stories are woven into Danish society's cloth. The museum dates from 1908 and, with exhibits of objects, mementos, and Andersen's own drawings and artwork, is dedicated to the life and work of the artist.

The writer's words are brought to life by listening to posts and interactive installations, and the domed hall is decorated with scenes from Andersen's Tale of My Life autobiography. To the southwest of Odense Cathedral, in Munkemøllestræde, you will find the childhood home of Hans Christian Andersen (Barndomshjem of Andersen), which is now part of the museum.

Palace of Amalienborg, Copenhagen : You'll find Amalienborg Palace and its tranquil gardens by the water in the Frederiksstaden quarter of Copenhagen. Originally designed as noble residences, the four palaces face the square. Following a fire at Christiansborg in 1794, the Danish Royal Family took up residence, and the palace remains their winter home.

The identical palaces form an octagon, and the design is based on designs for a Paris square that later became the Place de la Concorde, it is said.
