Hills of Meghamalai : Located in the Western Ghats, Meghamalai Hills is 70 km away from Theni. It is located at an altitude of approximately 500 ft above sea level. In this area, over 100 species of birds are found. For bird watchers, this is a common location. To conserve biodiversity, the Tamil Nadu government has proposed a wildlife sanctuary here. There are also many birds, reptiles, and butterflies in the Meghamalai Hills. For tea gardens and cardamom plantations, the place is also well established, but the greater part of the land remains untouched and is covered by evergreen forest. Pepper and cinnamon are also grown in the hills of Meghamalai.
Kumbakkarai Fall : In the fall, tourists love to take a swim. To lead you to the fall, it is advisable to take support from a local individual as the rock recesses are a little risky to tread on.
Gowmariamman Temple : It is believed that Gowmari, the consecrated goddess of the temple, fulfills the desires of the devotees and heals them from various illnesses and diseases. During the Tamil month of Chithirai, the Gowmariamman Temple's main festival falls in April and May and is celebrated for 8 days. Gowmariamman Temple is situated in a village called Veerapandi, 8 km away from Theni.
Shanmuganathi Dam : In the scenic history of the Meghamalai Hills, the Shanmuganathi Dam is located. It is constructed at Rayapanpatty in the Theni district on the Shanmugha river. The Shanmugha Temple, where the resident God is Lord Murugan, is about a kilometre from the dam.
