Alagar Kovil : Kallazhagar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu in Alagar Koyil, a village in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of Vishnu's 108 Divyadesams, who is worshipped as Kallazhagar, and as Thirumamagal, his consort Lakshmi. The temple is surrounded by a granite wall, enclosing all its shrines. There is a seven-tiered rajagopuram in the temple. A broad fort, part of which is dilapidated, surrounds the temple.

It is assumed that Kallazhagar appeared to rescue the sage Suthapava from the curse of the sage Durvasa. The temple follows the custom of worship in Thenkalai. The temple hosts six daily rituals and several annual festivals, the most popular being the float festival during the Tamil month of Masi (February-March), Navrathri during September-October and Vaikunta Ekadasi during Margazhi (December-January). The temple is owned and operated by the Government of Tamil Nadu's Hindu Religious and Endowment Board.

Meenakshmi Amman Temple: Since Meenakshi is the main deity of the temple, the temple signifies the significance of woman in a Tamil Hindu family. The temple also reflects the cordial relationship between Shaivism, Vaishnavism and Shaktism. Worship requires ceremonies and processions primarily.

One of the rituals includes putting inside a palanquin an image of Sundareswarar, which is then carried to Meenakshi's shrine. The palanquin is taken every night to the sanctuary and is brought back every morning to the sanctuary of Sundareswarar. Before offering their prayers to Sundareswarar, the devotees normally worship Meenakshi.

Pamban Bridge : The first sea bridge in India was opened on 24 February 1914, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra-Worli Sea Connection in 2010. For the most part, the rail bridge is a traditional bridge sitting on concrete piers, but has a midway section of double-leaf bascule that can be raised to allow ships and barges to pass through.

Vivekanandar Rock Memorial: Another location in Kanniyakumari that draws large numbers of tourists is the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. As its name suggests, it is essentially a holy monument designed for deep meditation and enlightenment by the Vivekananda Rock Memorial Committee to commemorate Swamy Vivekananda's visit to "Shripada Parai" on 24, 25 and 26 December 1892.

The rock has been considered a holy place since very ancient times. It was known in the Puranic tradition as "Sripada Parai: meaning the rock, which was blessed by the touch of the Goddess's Shripada feet. Thiruvalluvar Statue: Thiruvalluvar is Tamil Nadu's eternal poet and has donated Thirukkural to the world. Thiruvalluvar's memorial statue is in Kanniyakumari. The statue's pedestal is 38 feet high and the statue above it is 95 feet tall with a total of 133 feet for the whole sculpture. The 3-tier pedestal known as Atharapeedam is surrounded by a 38-foot-high artistic mandapa known as Alankara Mandapam.
