The tomb of Humayun is the Mughal Emperor Humayun 's final resting spot. It is the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, situated in the Nizamuddin East area of Delhi. This magnificent piece of architecture was commissioned in 1569-70 by Humayun 's chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, for construction and is one of the very few structures that at that time used red sandstone on such a massive scale. The construction of the tomb of Humayun is a typical Persian-influenced Mughal architecture conceptualised by the Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyath.
Qutub Minar is a minaret or victory tower situated in the Qutub complex in the Mehrauli region of Delhi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Qutub Minar is Delhi's second tallest monument, with a height of 72.5 metres (238 ft). Its construction was initiated in 1192 by the founder of the Delhi Sultanate, Qutb Ud-Din-Aibak, after defeating Delhi's last Hindu ruler.
He designed the basement after which his son-in - law and successor Iltutmish, who designed three additional floors, took over the construction. Firoz Shah Tuglak constructed the fourth and fifth storeys.
The Temple of Akshardham is a famous Hindu temple and a cultural and spiritual complex. It is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham. As the World's Largest Extensive Hindu Temple, Akshardham found its way to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Emperor Akbar designed an architectural masterpiece in 1573, the Red Fort of Agra or Fort of Agra. It is situated on the right bank of the Yamuna River and composed entirely of red sandstone. Until 1638, the historical fort was once the residence of the Mughals. It lies 2.5 kilometres from the Taj Mahal, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The Amer Fort, one of the most magnificent palaces in India, lies in the Pink City of Jaipur, nestled at the top of Aravali Hill. This magnificent building with its maze-like passages and serpentine staircases, also widely known as the Amber Fort, is an architectural masterpiece and is of significant importance in Indian history. Amer Fort is clad in pink and yellow sandstone, only 11 kilometres away from the capital city of Jaipur, and is part of an extensive complex.
Founded in 1592 by one of Akbar's most trusted generals, Maharaja Man Singh I, Amer Fort served as the main residence of the Rajput Rulers. The Amer Fort overlooks Maotha Lake in the town of Amer, which used to serve as the capital of the former princely state of Jaipur, via its wide ramparts, many gateways and paved paths. The fort is large enough that it will take you at least two to three hours to explore it in depth, and you can also opt to avail of the audio guides to lead you through this fascinating building while describing the history of the site.
One of the most famous tourist attractions located in the old part of the city is the magnificent City Palace in Jaipur. During the years 1729 to 1732, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the vast palace complex occupied one seventh of the walled city. It was once, in fact, the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. A series of courtyards, buildings and gardens, including the Chandra Mahal and the Mubarak Mahal, divide the palace.
The museum displays various unique handcrafted products and other items that belong to the City Palace 's royal heritage. Jai Singh II built the outer wall, but over the course of time, the palace itself has been subject to various changes, some of them even belonging to the early 20th century.
At the junction of the main road in Jaipur, Badi Chaupad, the huge Hawa Mahal building was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Hawa Mahal is a structure made of red and pink sandstone and has a pyramidal structure that almost resembles a crown. It has been adorned with 953 tiny windows, also known as 'Jharokhas' and embellished with beautiful latticework. The Hawa Mahal palace is based on five floors from inside, each with a uniquely decorated chamber.
