Bharathapuzha River: Also known as the Nilsa River, which provides shelter for 11 Malampuzha dam reservoirs, it is Kerala's second longest river. This is one of the few rivers in Kerala with spiritual and cultural significance for people particularly on the banks of the river, the famous cultural house of the state of Kalamandalam.
Mamburam: In Malappuram, Mamburam is a popular Muslim pilgrimage and one of Kerala's top mosques. It houses shrines dedicated to the ancestors of Thangals Primary. Among locals, Thangals held prominent importance and hence the shrine was later built here for the coming generations to immortalise them.

The temple is host to an 11-day annual festival that takes place in the months of March and April. This is one of Malappuram's most famous temples.
