Malankara Dam : For irrigation purposes, Malankara Dam is built on the Thodupuzha River, which is the Muvattupuzha River tributary. Malankara Lake, an artificial lake that was built as part of the irrigation project for the Muvattupuzha valley, is spread over 11 sq.kms. Visitors to the lake will enjoy boating and fishing. The Malankara Dam is open to visitors throughout the year. In the area surrounding the reservoir, a park is under construction, measuring 15 acres.
Cheeyappara Waterfalls : The Cheeyappara waterfalls are located in the Idukki district on the Kochi-Madurai Highway. A spectacular sight is created by the avalanche of water flowing down the seven levels of the rocky mountain. At the bottom of the waterfall, the sound of gushing water, the mist, the white froth, and swirling waters add beauty to the place. Hill Park : A beautiful and well-managed park is Hill View Park, one of the Idukki tourist places, situated at a distance of 2 km from the Idukki Bus stand. With hundreds of varieties of crotons, trees, medicinal plants, and other forests, the park, spread over 8 acres, captivates tourists. A natural water body is located in The Hill View Park, where tourists can enjoy boat trips. The surrounding hills on all four sides and the lush greenery take your breath away from the watchtowers of both the dams, Idukki and Cheruthoni. The Park remains open throughout the year and can be reached by gentle slopes, although it is situated 350 ft above the Dam water level. The herbal garden and the play area for children add attractiveness to Hill View Park.
