Park and Zoo : VOC Park and Zoo, also known as V.O.Chidambaranar Park, is an amusement park and zoological garden that is mainly visited for recreational purposes by Coimbatore locals. For families who get their children to have a great time and introduce them to the world of animals, the park and zoo is a favourite picnic spot. The park has a children's play area, an aquarium and a Jurassic Park where fun can be enjoyed not only by kids, but also by adults. It's an ideal place to let the imagination run to construct storeys. About 500 animals belonging to about 30 species, including birds, mammals and reptiles, are housed in the zoo.
The Swamy Temple of Arulmigu Patteeswarar, or the Perur Pateeswarar Temple, is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Patteeswarar, situated 9 kilometres from the town of Coimbatore. For Lord Patteeswarar's followers and devotees who visit from around the world to offer their prayers, the grand temple has tremendous religious, cultural and historical significance.
