Thimphu - Punakha (75 Km, 3 Hrs Approx): After breakfast, check out and drive to Punakha with an en-route halt at Dochula Pass to admire the Chorten, Mani wall, and prayer flags27. On arrival, check in, and later visit Punakha Dzong (at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers)28. Later, pass through the Punakha Suspension Bridge (over 160 meters above the Po Chhu River)29.
Punakha - Paro (125 Kms, 4hr Drive): After breakfast, proceed to Paro31. The Paro valley is one of the widest valleys, covered in fertile rice fields and a beautiful river32. On arrival, proceed to a local farm for Farmhouse activities (archery, local dress wearing, and local Bhutanese lunch)33. Later visit Rinpung Dzong and Ta-Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan)34.
